Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan Holds Round-Table Conference for Exchange with Excellence League of P.R.China

The Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (“Sixers”) held a round-table conference on November 27 with the Excellence League of P.R.China (Excellence 9, or “E9”). The conference was held on the same day as and in conjunction with the 4th Japanese-Chinese Exchange Meeting on Education in Kyoto.
From Okayama University, Vice Director Takayoshi Suzuki of the Center for Global Partnership and Education and Senior Assistant Professor Yuki Sasaki attended. At the round-table conference, they presented the university’s efforts and achievements in exchanges with various Chinese universities, and engaged in lively information interchange.
E9 is a consortium of nine research-oriented universities, mostly in science and technology, from among key universities of the 985 Project under the direct control of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Education of the P.R.China.
The Sixers and E9 concluded an international exchange agreement on November 28, 2016. In the future, it is anticipated that they will both prosper ever more through academic exchanges.
