A spring school program by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) was held at Chiba University for 10 days from March 13, 2017, with the participation of 30 students from AUN member universities.

In the previous year, the spring school program was held at Okayama University. This year, it was implemented under Chiba University’s credit-earning global study program in English, entitled “Visit and Study Japan’s Modern History, Regions & Culture”. Participants also visited the ASEAN-Japan Center, NHK and other media organizations, the Diet Building, JICA and other NPOs, private companies, including AEON and Tokyu, and Waseda University, a member university of the AUN Plus Three University Network.

During the weekend, they also made a three-day and two-night study trip to Mt. Fuji, Hakone, Kamakura and Yokosuka.
